Who are these people?!?

As I was getting ready to relocate from OH to TX, I was doing some research on the MTB "scene". I was contacting people off of an MTB BB...people that had mentioned anything about Austin. The first person I contacted was Charles Coker. He was more than happy to exchange info and then to actually set up a ride and meet me at the trail head of an area that used to be one of the best. In Feb of '96, I was lead on a 5 hour epic ride by Charles and a couple of other riders that he knew, Eric Stradel and James Carol. It was great!

Charles was so heavy into the equipment that he started a home-based business and began selling top of the line components. In 2001 he finally decided to just "go for it", quit his IT day job, leased some office space and began Hammerhead Bikes. This is now the place to go to find the best deals on the best stuff. He had even designed and commissioned his own full suspension frame, which was custom built by one of the most respected frame shops in the world, Titus. In 2004, Charles went back to the IT sector. Charles remains a full partner in the ownership, but they've hired a shop manager, Beth. Beth does a fine job!
